Born from a shared vision during the challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic, the Doula Association of Alberta began as a small group of doulas advocating for the recognition of doulas as essential support people.

That vision sparked a movement.

Today, we're proud to be a growing community that champions doulas through advocacy, education, professional standards, and connection. As the profession has evolved, so have we welcoming and supporting doulas across the full spectrum of care while working together to strengthen and elevate the profession throughout Alberta.
